Coaxial will be located in the communications room only. Since this is a small house, there will only be a need for 1 OTA? DVR?. Each one is for a particular room, and will allow a resident to record the shows they wish to watch. The recordings will display through the smartTV and allow me to watch live TV. Since the TV in the house will be a basic TV with the smart TV adapter plugged into it, there will be nothing more that would need to be done.
While I could have wired the house for cable TV, I will not want to waste my resources by having coaxial jakcs going everywhere they aren’t likely need to be. If the cable provider can’t do streaming via wifi, then they don’t need me as a customer. With that said, I will have one coaxial jack for Verizon’s FiOS?, and Xfinity’s Cable TV. Again, these coaxial connections will be in the communications closet, and they will need to provide streaming boxes that will use ethernet or wifi.
